Job Description
The Associate will report to the Finance Manager in India. This role will involve a variety of accounting functions, including loan accounting,, Coordinating with different departments across the company, daily reconciliation of disbursements/repayments, general ledger reconciliations for various balance sheet and profit & loss accounts & co-ordinating with auditors. This position offers a unique opportunity to enhance your accounting skills in a dynamic and diverse environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and record journal entries to support a timely month-end close using NetSuite.
- Analyze and complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts
- Record cash and expense transactions, ensuring accurate and consistent categorization
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate expense allocation and vendor accounting
- Support timely payment and compliance of statutory dues, including data preparation and coordination
- Partner with cross-functional teams on accruals, vendor documentation, and contract-related accounting inputs
- Support preparation of monthly financial and management reports
- Support external audits, including preparation of schedules and responding to data request
Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Masters in finance or Semi Qualified CA
- 1-2 years accounting experience in similar position
- Hands on Excel skills with strong analytical capabilities. Understanding of SQL or python is added advantage
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams; limited coordination across time zones may be required
