Job Overview;
We are looking for a results-driven and strategic Business Development Lead to grow our banking footprint and deepen customer engagement across our suite of products. You will be responsible for identifying market opportunities, driving acquisition campaigns, forming strategic partnerships, and supporting the rollout of customer-centric financial solutions, especially in the digital and mobile banking space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Development & Customer Acquisition: Develop and execute strategies to drive new customer acquisition in key target segments 
  • Product Growth & Penetration: Drive uptake of core banking products through targeted campaigns, customer outreach, and cross-selling initiatives.
  • Sales Enablement & Revenue Growth: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute targeted campaigns and offers that increase product uptake and customer lifetime value
  • Channel Expansion: Identify and grow new distribution channels to enhance product access and convenience.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Leverage sales and customer data to generate insights, optimize strategies, and measure campaign effectiveness
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track and analyze performance metrics and report on the effectiveness of initiatives and ROI.
  • Team Support & Coaching: Provide direction and support to telesales and field engagement teams to ensure alignment with business development goals and product priorities.
  • Customer Experience & Feedback Loops: Engage with customers and frontline staff to gather insights and continuously improve product-market fit and service delivery.
  • Sales Strategy: Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and implement effective cross-selling strategies.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate calls to ensure adherence to scripts, quality standards, and compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in business development, relationship management, or sales in a financial institution or FMCG.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate sales or business development teams, with a track record of driving performance and achieving team targets.
  • Deep understanding of retail banking products and customer behaviors in the mass and SME markets.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and drive performance.
  • Track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in CRM systems and sales analytics tools.
  • Problem-solving skills with a customer-focused approach.
