Job Overview
Branch is hiring a People Operations Manager to join its phenomenal team in Nigeria.
We are looking for a passionate and self-driven individual who loves contributing to multiple pillars of People Operations, excels at building and improving processes, and wants to make an impact on employee experience. In this role, you will lead all things related to People & Culture for Branch in Nigeria, working closely with Nigeria’s Managing Director and Branch’s Chief People Officer, as well as leading the People Operations team to deliver programs and initiatives that will help Branch continue to build a world-class team and drive employee experience in Nigeria.
You will be part of a global People Operations team supporting culture and people practices at Branch as well as business growth, with a key focus on hiring, employee engagement and retention, performance management, learning & development, and more! Communicating with precision, developing trust, and leading with integrity is critical to success, as is the ability to navigate multiple priorities with attention to detail and a service-oriented approach. This role will report to the Managing Director for Nigeria.
Responsibilities
- Spearhead and drive the people strategy in synergy with business strategy, including budgeting and planning, execution, and analysis.
- Lead and manage all aspects of HR operations, including payroll, benefits administration, compliance, and onboarding processes to ensure seamless employee experience.
- Manage the people operations team, while setting goals and delivering efficient, high-quality solutions and services with respect to: recruitment, onboarding, performance management, learning & development, and employee engagement
- Serve as a culture champion for Branch, including designing and implementing employee engagement initiatives, building talent development strategies, and elevating Branch’s values in the Nigeria office
- Manage performance review cycles, including goal-setting frameworks, feedback mechanisms, and professional development plans to drive employee growth and accountability.
- Partner with hiring managers and the global People Operations team to drive our Diversity and Inclusion initiatives
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations as required by regulatory authorities.
- Work closely with managers as a strategic advisor to address employee issues proactively
- Coordinate with the global People Operations team to create and produce programming and policies that make Branch the best place to work.
- Build and promote the employer brand to attract and retain great talent.
Qualifications
- 7+ years as a seasoned HR professional, with at least two years spent managing a team.
- Has led HR/People Operations for a small- to mid-sized startup.
- Excellent written and verbal communicator who listens first and seeks to understand
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and curious.
- Comfortable working with global teams and able to apply local context to global practices
- Autonomous, proactive, and comfortable owning a project from start to finish
- Highly entrepreneurial, scrappy, and able to wear several hats
- Intermediate Microsoft Office and analytical skills
- Highly collaborative, with excellent stakeholder management skills & experience.
