Job Overview
We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented FP&A Senior Associate to join our finance team. In this role, you will be a key driver in shaping our financial strategy through robust modeling, performance tracking, and data-driven insights. You will bridge the gap between raw data and executive decision-making, ensuring that our Annual Operating Plans (AOP) are accurate and our financial reporting is seamless. This is a high-impact role involving heavy use of Excel, Financial Modeling and foundational SQL to support both India and Global operations.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Financial Planning & Forecasting: Drive the end-to-end budgeting process, including monthly rolling forecasts and long-range 5-year financial models. Maintain accuracy in P&L, Balance Sheet, and cash flow projections.
  • Performance Analysis (Plan vs. Actuals): Monitor business performance by tracking departmental variances. Identify key drivers of over/under-performance and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Strategic Insights & Reporting: Prepare high-stakes reporting decks for Board meetings and executive leadership. Conduct profitability analysis at a cohort level and perform competitor benchmarking to guide strategy.
  • Data Analysis & Automation: Use SQL to extract and manipulate large datasets for ad-hoc financial analysis. Focus on automating manual reports to improve team efficiency and forecast precision.
  • Audit & Compliance Support: Collaborate with the Controllership and Audit teams to provide financial data for statutory, regulatory, and internal audits, ensuring data integrity across all reports.


Qualifications

  • Education: MBA in Finance, or a professional certification such as CA, CPA, CMA, or CFA (Level 1 or 2).
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance, or a similar analytical role.
  • Technical Skills: 
    • Advanced Excel: Expert-level financial modeling and data manipulation.
    • Accounting: Good understanding of P&L, Balance Sheets, and accrual-based accounting.
  • SQL: Foundational ability to write SQL queries (SELECT, JOINs, WHERE) to independently extract, filter, and validate data from internal databases without relying on tech teams.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Exceptional logical reasoning and "first-principles" thinking.
    • Ability to communicate complex financial data to stakeholders across India and Global offices.
    • High degree of comfort with ambiguity and ad-hoc data requests.
