Job Overview;
We are looking for a results-driven and hands-on Business Development Team Lead to drive mass-market sales execution and grow customer acquisition across our banking products. The role focuses on selling, executing acquisition campaigns, and supervising frontline sales teams (DSRs, Telesales, and HNI engagement) to improve conversion, product uptake, and customer experience, particularly across digital and mobile banking channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Development & Customer Acquisition: Execute mass-market customer acquisition initiatives across core banking products, driving new customer growth through field and telesales activity.
- Product Growth & Penetration: Drive uptake of core banking products through targeted campaigns, customer outreach, and structured cross-selling across new and existing customers.
- Sales Enablement & Revenue Growth: Work closely with Product, Marketing, and Operations to execute campaigns and offers that improve conversion, sales productivity, and customer lifetime value.
- Channel Expansion: Support activation and performance of acquisition channels including DSRs, Telesales, and HNI sales activity, ensuring consistent execution and coverage.
- Data-Driven Insights: Use sales and customer data to monitor funnels, identify gaps, and optimize sales execution and outreach strategies.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track individual and team performance metrics, including activity levels, conversion rates, and volumes, and report on progress against targets.
- Team Support & Coaching: Provide day-to-day supervision, coaching, and performance management for DSRs, Telesales, and HNI engagement teams, including call reviews and field support.
- Customer Experience & Feedback Loops: Engage directly with customers and frontline teams to gather insights, address issues, and continuously improve sales effectiveness and service delivery.
- Sales Strategy (Execution-Focused): Support the execution of cross-selling and upselling initiatives in collaboration with Sales and Marketing teams.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor calls and customer interactions to ensure adherence to approved scripts, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–5 years’ experience in sales, business development, or relationship management, preferably within banking, fintech, financial services, or FMCG.
- Proven experience supervising or leading frontline sales teams (DSRs, Telesales, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of mass-market and SME banking products and customer behaviour.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding individual and team sales targets.
- Hands-on sales mindset with the ability to lead by example.
- Strong communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable using CRM systems and basic sales analytics to track performance.
- Customer-focused, solution-oriented, and execution driven.
